Special Events for Kids

Throughout the year, the Children’s Ministry at Fleetwood Bible Church hosts a variety of special events geared toward discipleship, gospel proclamation, fun, and community outreach. Three of our most prominent annual events include, Vacation Bible School, SHINEfest, and the Community Egg Hunt.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a weeklong, breath-taking adventure for the children of our church and community. Evening sessions are filled with music, games, crafts, stories, snacks, and most of all, a chance to experience God’s love and care.

Over one hundred volunteers form the team that loves our children, showing them the magnificent life that comes from walking with God. FBC facilities are decorated and transformed into a captivating world based on the year’s theme.

The week of July 23-27, 2018, we will be "Gearing up for Life's Big Game" with Game On! At FBC we ofer VBS  for children ages 4 to grade 6. Stay tuned for more information or click the picture below to check out Lifeway's site.

SHINEfest Trunk or Treat Outreach

SHINEfest stands for “Sharing His Incredible Name Everywhere.” It is a community outreach event that intentionally functions as a Halloween alternative. Always held the last week in October, SHINEfest features trunk-or-treat displays, game stations, musical numbers, gospel presentations, and, of course, lots of candy! Hundreds of people typically turn out for this exciting event.

At Fleetwood Bible Church, we believe in taking back the night that Satan has corrupted, turning it into something wholesome and good. In fact, October 31 is always “a day that the Lord has made,” so we choose to “rejoice and be glad in it.” Not only that, we choose to proclaim the gospel in it, and watch it become “the power of God unto salvation” for many lives, both young and old.

Community Egg Hunt

Two weeks before Resurrection Sunday, Fleetwod Bible Church hosts a Community Egg Hunt for kids of all ages. Rain or shine, children have the opportuntity to collect all types of candy, decorated eggs, and other prizes on a day filled with love, laughter, and fun.

The gospel is clearly presented in creative and age-appropriate ways, and children are treated to a picnic lunch before going home.
